2012 Dairy Labor Management Survey
PDF Print E-mail

In 2000, the University of California began conducting the “Dairy Labor Management Survey” once every three years.  The survey is part of longitudinal study that shows the changes in dairy labor wages over time.  Respondents are asked to have one employee in mind while addressing the questions on the survey for the month of April 2012 (as far it is as possible).

Dairy managers are encouraged to review results of the survey to analyze how other producers are managing their laborers.  “In order to construct an effective internal wage structure, it is good to see what others are doing,” said University of California Labor Management Farm Advisor and author of “Labor Management in Agriculture: Cultivating Personnel Productivity,” Gregorio Billikopf.

The 2012 survey will close at the end of September.
